The HEAR HERE community billboard truck is coming to the streets of North Oakland! A vehicle for empowerment and understanding, this mobile digital billboard is designed to gather and share our memories, stories, and visions for the future, while building trust and encouraging community safety and interaction.
This effort is part of Commons Archive, a community-based project that connects neighbors through stories, shared resources and celebrations.

We’re launching this digital community billboard in a family-friendly, open-air, gathering at the Golden Gate Library’s parking lot. Come get acquainted with the truck and see the premiere of short videos featuring longtime neighbors (and Panther Elder Dr Saturu Ned) filmed by Hidden Gem, a youth media training program and participate in a neighbor panel. There will also be fun family activities, a book give away for all ages, and more!
