BPP ALUMNI LEGACY EDUCATIONAL SESSION
We find ourselves in the third week of Black Women's History and Arab Heritage month. We have presented material and information that is unique and given food for thought. We have touched the tip of the knowledge tree concerning Black women, Arab women, women of the caribbean, women of the African continent and more.
There is so much more to the diaspora of the rainbow connection of women the world over and their common struggle for equality and a good life for themselves and their families. Their stories must be told to connect the commonality of resistance against oppression the world over. We realize we can only cover so much in a session and for the month of April .
The purpose is to create an ongoing hunger and thirst for knowledge that is unquenchable, that will not only inspire you to do your own research but to pass on the knowledge you acquire to the community. As usual we have some great support material. If you would like to invite someone to the session let us know. We will see you Saturday!

BPP ALUMNI LEGACY EDUCATIONAL SESSION
This month so far we have had one session dedicated to our topic: Black women and women of the global diaspora: the rainbow connection. Last week we attended an event honoring lil Bobby Hutton, the first person to join the Black Panther Party. The event was held at the West Oakland Library across the street from Bobby Hutton Park. Let us not ever forget who he was and the significance of his sacrifice today. This week we will continue with our topic: Black women and women of the global diaspora: the rainbow connection. Are there common threads of oppression that connect women globally? If so, how do they connect to the overall fight against oppression and fascism? These questions will be discussed and addressed. We will look at some current issues and recent developments that are impacting the very fabric of what is called democracy. Get ready for the ride. We will see you Saturday!

BPP ALUMNI LEGACY EDUCATIONAL SESSION
We hope all is well and that each of you are in good spirits. The month of December marks the end of 2022. This year has been a year of continuous growth of prejudice, bias, racism, and bigotry ( there are definitions that apply to each of these words). Our topic is The Wolf and the Fox - authors of lies and deception. Have you ever asked yourself what the Democratic Party is? Have you ever asked yourself what the Republican Party is? What are their real ideologies? Do they have similarities and differences? What is their real agenda? Was the Black Panther Party proclaimed to be the greatest internal threat to the security of the United States government because we exposed them for what they truly are about? We believe it's time to share a little taste of that knowledge and experience. If you don't know how something functions you can't change or dismantle it. Before we are done this month we will look at the origins and behavior of both parties historically and today. It's about the ideology and not the individuals. On that note we hope to see you Saturday, and bring your appetite!

She:kon! ( pronounced say gon) Means Hello! in Mohawk.
We hope this email finds you well and in good spirits. This month of November is Native American Heritage Month. Last week's topic was Native American and Black Solidarity against Oppression and Control. We briefly examined the historical similarities, coalitions and divisions that existed between Native Americans and Black People from the time Columbus set foot on land in the Western Hemisphere. The tears, sorrow, joy and victories that we jointly shared in our quest to free ourselves from Oppression and slavery. How can we talk about reparations unless we include our Indigenous brothers and sisters?? Something to think about.
This week we are honored to have the Former Minister of Culture of the Black Panther Party and Cultural Artist Extraordinaire Emory Douglas as our guest presenter. Emery has engaged with people all over the world. He will share his amazing journey with us. Emory has received a lifetime achievement award and has created PR posters for some major motion pictures that you may be familiar with. I am not going to divulge the details until the session on Saturday!! Get ready for an unbelievable session of knowledge growth and sharing. If you want to invite family and friends please let us know so they can join us. See you Saturday!

BPP ALUMNI LEGACY NETWORK EDUCATIONAL SESSION
Greetings of peace and joy!
We are back in the saddle ready to go forward! In the last week we have had some amazing events that put us in direct contact with the community. From the reception we received at these events we are definitely on point in what we bring to the table. This is BLACK PANTHER PARTY HISTORY MONTH! If you have read the topic you know we will not end this topic in one week. We will probably continue with the topic for the rest of the month.
We will as usual have some great supporting videos and materials that will bring things into perspective. How important is the Legacy of the Black Panther Party in today's world? Is the ten point platform relevant today? Are we as a network making an impact of educational inspiration for revolutionary change? This is just the opening salvo of questions with your participation we will examine and answer. We hope you will join us for this special knowledge feast we have prepared for all to partake in that will provide nourishment for the mind and soul. We will see you on Saturday!
"We've got to face the fact that some people say you fight fire best with fire, but we say you put fire out best with water. We say you don't fight racism with racism. We're gonna fight racism with solidarity."

BPP ALUMNI LEGACY EDUCATIONAL SESSION
This week we will take a peek at the American Health Institution. The Covid-19 pandemic has exposed what we already knew existed - medical disparities in the treatment of Black and Brown people. Neglect, misdiagnosis and misinformation are common factors that people of color face far to often that has become the norm. How long has this been going on? Is there a history of documentation that verifies this indictment against the American Health Institution? What are some of the reasons this is allowed to continue? Are there efforts being made to change this behavior that is all to common in the American Health Institution? We all have personal testimonies that apply to our health as well as family and community members concerning inadequate healthcare. Now is the time to examine facts and documentation to determine if the American Health Institution is guilty or innocent of all charges of genocidal health practices. We will see you Saturday for what promises to be an educational and informative session with your participation and input.

BPP ALUMNI LEGACY EDUCATIONAL SESSION
Last week we participated in an Oakland History Fair at Lake Merritt. We engaged with a lot of people who were thirsty for knowledge and direction! From the 'classes to the masses'.
This week we look into : “What direction is the American government heading? Is there an effort being made to create equal rights and treatment of all its citizens or are we looking at the rise of true Fascism in America? Does the government provide decent housing for all its citizens? Do black and brown people receive fair wages on their jobs? Do Black and Brown people get home and business loans even when they qualify? Are Black and Brown people treated fairly under the laws of America?”
That's quite a bit to think about which brings us to this week's topic: American Law is Oppression! Separate and Unequal! From the streets to the courtrooms. We will take a look at a few of the faces of America Law that promotes behavior that is not in the interest of the well being of Black, Brown and other oppressed people. Join us this Saturday for a great and lively session that will without a doubt be informative and with your participation will bring forth knowledge that can be passed on to the people.

BPP ALUMNI LEGACY EDUCATIONAL SESSION
We hope all is well with you. In the last 6 weeks we have covered the youth and student movement from the 60s and 70s up to the present. We also peeked in the classroom to verify a small portions of the tactics used in the miseducation, and criminalization of Black Brown Students in America and the connection with youth and student movements around the world, not only fighting for an education that teaches truth to power but also getting involved in social issues that affect the wellbeing of their families and their communities. Power does not concede without demand! Anytime you push you will get the Big Push Back from those that are denying you true freedom and self determination. Who are the tools of Fascism that promotes total domination and create the Big Push Back of control and stranglehold the development and advancement of people of color.
This week's topic: The other faces of Fascism - the Avaricious Businessperson and the Demagogic Politician. Who are these people? What do these descriptive terms mean? How do we explain this to the community? How have their actions contributed to the disenfranchisement of Black,Brown and other oppressed communities? Who is the missing face of Fascism that created the trinity of control? These are enough questions to kick start a great session with your participation. Bring your appetite and get ready for a knowledge feast to share with the community. We will see you Saturday!
"In order to resolve a problem you must first define the problem"
BPP ALUMNI LEGACY EDUCATIONAL SESSION
These last few weeks we have looked at how important youth and student activism has been in the past in America and around the world. The movement emphasized the need for educational reform on every level. We talked about the impact of the movement, what was accomplished and what was not. We acknowledged that it was a movement that represented the makeup of the communities from where the student populations came from.
This connection of activity was not only in America but all over the world as students began to connect the dots of oppression in their nations that were and still are subjected to U.S. Imperialism and oppression. This week we will open the doors to American Classrooms. The Educational Impact on Black and Brown Students in the classroom. Are Black and Brown children being 'educated'? Do Black and Brown Children face negativity and bias from teachers and administrators? What children are being affected by school closures? How has the Black and Brown community reacted? Are there any examples of 'doing it the right way' that we can refer to? How has the Black and Brown community reacted?
There is a lot to think and talk about. Our purpose is to bring knowledge and truth to these and other questions. With your participation this definitely will be an educational feast with leftovers!! Bring your appetite!

In the last 4 to 5 weeks we have covered the youth and student movement from the 60s and 70s up to the present. We also peeked in the classroom to verify a small portions of the tactics used in the miseducation, and criminalization of Black and Brown Students in America and the connection with youth and student movements around the world, not only fighting for an education that teaches truth to power but also getting involved in social issues that affect the wellbeing of their families and their communities. Power does not concede without demand! Anytime you push you will get the Big Push Back from those that are denying you true freedom and self determination.
This week our topic series is American Repression: Enemy of the people! Why do we constantly go back to the very people who foster repression against us and ask them for help? Are Black and Brown People caught up in the Stockholm syndrome? What is our way out of this mental slavery? These questions and more should enhance your educational appetite. You know we are bringing more than the topic to the table in order to connect some dots with your participation that will help everyone see the big picture.

BPP ALUMNI LEGACY EDUCATIONAL SESSION
These last few weeks of classes on the youth and student movement has given us understanding why America does not want students to have true knowledge and an education that teaches the true nature of this decadent American Society. We looked at the Black Student and Black Power Movement started by students. We included the activities of the student third world alliance during the 60s and 70s. We examined the relationship of student activism then and the effect it had on the overall movement for revolutionary change in the oppressive conditions that black and brown lived in during the 60s and 70s in America. We have asked the crucial question about the youth and student movement of today. Is there a new generation of youth and students picking up the banner of student activism on campuses and in their communities? We hope to answer this question and more with your participation in the mix. This week’s topic is Youth solidarity in America and around the world. What are the issues that connect youth and student around the world? During this educational banquet everyone will have the opportunity to contribute to the feast. We will see you on Saturday!
