tour feedback

The teachers had a great time on our walking tour. We learned a lot about the untold history of the Black Panthers and their legacy and influence on Oakland the US, gaining valuable insight into local history that we will bring back to our classrooms for years to come. Dr. Saturu Ned was a passionate and knowledgeable tour guide. His personal history with the movement and continued work to keep the legacy and history of the Black Panther's alive was invaluable to our tour experience. His well of knowledge is incredibly deep and his passion for the work he has done and continues to do is nothing short of inspirational.

Thank you to Dr Saturu Ned (aka James Mott), an original member of the legendary & powerful Black Panther Party, for the historical walking tour in Oakland. He was extremely open & honest, allowing tourists to ask him anything, in an effort to dispel all myths & fallacies about the organization. If you are ever in Oakland, please register for a tour with BPPALN. They are devoted to continuing the legacy of serving all marginalized communities who experienced injustice & poverty. Dr Saturu clarified a lot of (mis)information for me.”
