This is the third week of our acknowledgement of Women's History Month. We have acknowledged unsung black women's contributions to equality and change during some of the most difficult periods for black and oppressed people in America and around the world. We want to broaden that scope to include our theme this week women of the world united who have been and still are fighting for Women and all mankinds right to live freely and determine one's own destiny.
This year is also the 50th Anniversary celebration of the Oakland Community School. Several of us had an opportunity to attend the EDUCATE TO LIBERATE presentation at Osher Theater Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive honoring the Founding of the Oakland Community school and Learning Center. We will be sharing this wonderful experience with all of you. We will be planning events to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Oakland Community School and Learning Center. Let's stir the pot and keep it hot! See you on Saturday.
