BPP ALUMNI LEGACY EDUCATIONAL SESSION

The first half of our session this Saturday is one of continued gratitude, honor and recognition of the following original party members Terry Cotton, Terry Collins, James Erving, Ralph Moore, Valentine Hobbs, Gwen Johnson, Ellis White, Charles Brunson, Lester Mott.

During the second half of the class will honor comrade Bob Lee who was part of the historic beginnings of the original RAINBOW coalition and the participation of the Young Patriots. How did the Black Panther Party turn confederate flag waving poor white people from West Virginia into brothers, sisters, and allies in a common struggle for self determination?

We will view a short 9 min video that highlights this historic Town Hall meeting with members of the Black Panther Party from the South side of Chicago and the residents of North Chicago (Hillbilly Harlem) as it was called. We hope everyone is eager to learn and excited about this class as we wind down 2021 and gear up for 2022.

Honor those that paved the way!
