We would like to invite you to our next event now set for Sunday, July 20 2025. The event is set to run at 1PM, at the new community center location - Chapel of the Flowers at 3049 Adeline Street, Berkeley.
We are happy to provide in this latest installment of our educational and compassion program, with donations from premier cannabis therapy brands provided at no cost, for those who qualify.
This Sunday we will not be providing free meals, but are encouraging all participants to attend the birthday celebration of the original Black Panther Aunty Frances' and her project Self Help Hunger Program at their annual 'Everyday is Black History Month' on 61st and Adeline, where there will be food, resources and supplies. Please see attached flyer for details.
IMPORTANT!
Participants are required to register at the entrance by 1PM, and proceed to the speaking engagement area to learn and engage with the educational program with the Black Panther Party Alumni Legacy Network, Redwood Roots Distribution, and participating brands, prior to receiving their ticket for a compassion package.
IMPORTANT! Due to limited supply and growth of the program, please note the following:
1. All registration for the compassion package is between 1PM - 1.45PM.
2. There will be only 150 bags available for this event. That means only 150 registered patients will receive a bag.
3. Participants that arrive after 1.45PM will not receive a ticket.
4. We are encouraging everyone to obtain their CA Medical Cannabis card for more donations. Please read below at the end of this email for advice on how to get one of these.
Compassion packages must be collected at the main CBCB dispensary at 3033 Shattuck Ave, on that day itself during CBCB's opening hours, open until 9pm. In order to allow for a smooth distribution process, tickets will be given out in numbered sections for collection.
Please note that this event is a volunteer-run event, so please be kind and gracious to the staff who work tirelessly to provide you with services and education. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.
If you would like to bring a patient to attend this event with you, please ensure they fill out this form prior to the event, but there will be volunteers and staff to support the filling of forms on-site during the event.
Please let us know if you are not able to make it to this session, so we can ensure you receive an invitation to the next edition in June.
For those who require public transportation support, here is how you can get here: Ashby Bart station is the closest to the location - exit through the Adeline St cross and the location is in the old Marmot Mountain Works building.
